About this KSL Monday Pasar Malam (Night Market)
Arguably one of the Most Popular Pasar Malam in JB due to its Close Proximity to the Popular KSL City Mall. ð️ Its Open Every Week only on Mondays. ð
Just the Length of it is 628 Metres! ðģ If you were to walk from 1 end to the other end and then back again, you've actually walked more than 1.2km! įįæŊäļæĄéū ðēð
This KSL Pasar Malam REALLY brings the word "Pasar" in its name because not only are there the usual Food Stalls available, there are even some Vendors selling Vegetables ðĨŽ and even Fishes. ð There was even a Very Adorable Elderly Salesman ðī selling Literal Snake Oil complete with 2 Live Snakes on Display! ððģ

The Pasar Malam is situated on Half of the Road, so don't be surprised to be walking right next to a Passing Car in some Areas. ð As long as you stay within the Barricaded Lines you should be fine. ð§ In fact there are even Military Personnels deployed ðŠ to help control and direct Traffic which was quite interesting to see.
Food Stall Owners are Friendly and Polite, No Rowdy Behaviour. ð Overall feels Safe although of course, do take the usual precautions for your belongings especially because its so Crowded. ðĪ
Prices for the Food Items mostly range from RM8.00 onwards, agar agar around Regular JB Food Prices.
Most of the Food Stalls seems to be focused on Malaysian Chinese Local Dishes. ðēðū There are a few Malay Stalls but not as much in comparison. I also didn't see any Indian Food Booths when I was there.
One thing you will notice is that the Food Stalls here sell very Back to Basics Classic Pasar Malam Foods. ð No Instagram type of Wierd Expensive Nonsense that we have in our Singapore Pasar Malams. ð Check out my Photo Collection for the types of Foods and Prices listed. ð·

Tips and Tricks and Special Notes:
1) Even though the Pasar Malam officially starts at 5.00pm, I would recommend to visit at 4.30pm. ð Best Timing to visit I feel is between 4.30pm to 5.30pm. ð After 5.30pm is where the Crowd Increased Significantly. ðĪ The Videos I posted were taken from around 5.40pm.

2) If you regularly take F100 Bus to KSL City Mall, ð please note that ON MONDAYS, the F100 Bus Stop is shifted from its Usual Stop near the KSL Hotel Entrance to the Entrance nearer to Pizza Hut and KFC instead. (Refer to my Attached Photo) ð· This change of stop ONLY HAPPENS ON MONDAYS. ð

3) To start exploring the Pasar Malam, I highly recommend to go to the KSL Hotel Entrance area. ð This is where the Pasar Malam actually starts and you can check out the Entire Stretch in One Shot just by following along the Road. ðĢ️
4) There are No Official Dining Areas for you to sit down and Dine In, but I've noticed that Most Booths selling Fried Oysters usually have about 2-3 Makeshift Tables and Chairs for their Customers to sit and eat. ðŠ Grab a Seat if its available, but do be prepared to share tables too. It goes without saying it would be Courteous to at least buy a Packet of Fried Oyster if you want to use these Tables. ð

5) Assuming there are absolutely NO SEATS available, I can recommend the following Alternatives and although I have not tried them myself, I reckon they should also work:
- Dapao and bring the Foods into the Food Court within KSL City Mall. Obviously its also Courteous to at least buy a Drink from a Food Court Stall if you want to try this. ðĨĪ The Advantage is that you will be able to dine in a Comfortable Aircon Environment. ❄️
- There are some Coffeeshops alongside the Pasar Malam Route. I reckon if you ask the Coffeeshop Owner Politely and buy a Drink from them, ☕ they will probably be nice enough to allow you to eat your Pasar Malam Food inside too. ð
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
Personally, I feel its the Atmosphere of this Place that really drew me in. ð This place really brings back Fond Memories of the 1980s-1990s Pasar Malams in Singapore. ðļðŽ
For those that are Old Enough to remember, our SG Pasar Malams used to look like this too. ð I even remember seeing Indian Snake Charmers. ð All these are of course sadly gone today in our Highly Curated, Highly Regulated Pasar Malams. ð I LOVED Soaking in the Atmosphere of this Place. ♥️ Something about this KSL Pasar Malam just clicked with me very nicely. ð
