Randomly found this place on Google Maps so I thought I'd give it a try since I've never tasted Kway Teow Kia before. This Dish is basically Singapore's Kway Chup, but uses Thin Kway Teow instead of Big Flat Kway like in SG.
Actually for this shop, there is no 1 Person Set. You're supposed to pick and choose whatever you want and then go take a seat. I didn't know what to choose, so I called for "1 Person Set". The stall owner wasn't sure what "1 Person Set" was so I mentioned, they have a "1 Person Set" on the Grab Food App, so give me that. Only then did he understand. Luckily he was quite friendly so the conversation went fine. I thought it was rather amusing he himself didn't know they have a 1 Person Set even though its stated on their Grab Food Menu.

Would it have been cheaper had I chosen the pieces myself? I'm not sure but the set he picked for me felt fair in terms of price and the the portions given. I also ordered a seperate bowl of Ala-Carte Pig Blood because of course we can't eat this in SG. Even on a Saturday, this place was busy, but not very crowded and I could easily find a seat even as a Solo Diner. The inside felt exactly like a Old Kopitiam and the atmosphere was welcoming and I felt at ease here. The folks here generally felt friendly.
The Sauce Condiment given is very complex. It's a mix of... Garlic, Ginger... Chilli Padi... and some other things that I'm unfamiliar with. I dunno if this is 沙茶酱 but I dun think so. It's bitingly spicy.
Very unique and is not something that's found in SG. I feel this is the highlight of this meal. It's very unique... Yet I don't feel it compliments the meal. Yet it also doesn't make the meal worse. It just stands alone on its own.
Soup is sweetish and 清甜 leans towards Sweet than Salty. Decent Soup Base but not particularly Mind Blowing or Amazing. Kway tiao Kia itself is basically thin Kway teow. Soft to the bite but is probably from a package. Main platter is a mix of Tofu, Fish cake, Braised Pork slices and 1 Braised egg. Nothing special. It tastes like how you imagine it to taste.
The Pig Blood Bite Texture surprisingly has a Very Firm Bite Feel rather than a Softer Bite Feel. Heck, this may be the Firmest Pig Blood that I have ever eaten. The 卤水 that the Pig Blood is soaked in is Herbly. It doesn't taste like the same 卤水 that the Kway Teow Kia is soaked in although I might have been wrong.
Overall, although not mind-blowing or particularly special, I feel the price is fair for what was provided and I appreciate that the folks here felt friendly. If you have never eaten Kway Teow Kia before, I do recommend to come here to give it a try at least once. While a tad far, this place is walkable from KSL Mall, although you do have to jaywalk across quite a large busy road with no traffic light.
