Located right next to KSL City Mall, this BKT Stall was very crowded even on a Thursday when I was there. Personally I thought there was nothing really special about the Broth. It wasn't very Herbal and more Soy Sauce Based. Youtiao also weren't very special and even tasted Cold.

The Pork Ribs themselves are tender to the bite, but again, nothing really special. Amusingly, there was a Couple who shared a Table with me and the Guy even proclaimed proundly that this was the best BKT he had ever eaten in JB. I have to disagree, as this BKT quality was really no different from similar ones sold in Singapore.

In fact, from 2 BKTs i've tasted so far in JB (the other one being 兴兴肉骨茶 at FGJB Hawker Centre - which has since Closed), it seems that JB's BKT tasted very light and weren't very strong in Herbal taste.

Malaysia BKT is supposed to taste better than Singapore BKT but THIS is the quality that Malaysians are proud of? I'm not impressed.





I honestly don't understand why this shop was so crowded on a Weekday when the BKT didn't really taste that special. Maybe its because of its close and convenient proximity to KSL City Mall? The Shop Owner also didn't look particularly friendly. When he realized I did not opt to add anymore options like Beancurds, Mushrooms etc (Eg: I'm not going to be his Carrot Head to chop), I could see his Subtle Irritated Face that I was probably wasting his time as a "Low-Valued Customer".

If you are new to Asian Cuisines and this is your first time ordering, you might feel overly intimidated as there are no menu available to choose and the Shop Owner didn't look like he has the patience to explain how to order. I do not recommend this shop if you're looking for a BKT with a Deep Herbal Taste. This BKT tasted only so so for me.
