Came across this place randomly on Google Maps when I was researching for places to eat in Taman Pelangi. 😋 It is actually a Food Truck thats parked in the area. 🛻
According to Google Maps, they're available on Most Days but closed on Monday and Tuesday, 🤔 however some Reviewers mention that while Friday and Saturday are likely open, other days may be random. 🤔 So take this information as you will.

Apparently their Most Unique Dish is their Pandan Tau Huay, which is only available on Fridays and Saturdays although some also mentioned that it may also be available on some Sundays too depending on your luck. 🤔

Because this is a Food Truck, it is not searchable on Grab's Map if you want to take Grab here. 🚫🚗 I would recommend to select either "Ah Peng Bak Kut Teh" which I reviewed previously or "Total Swiss Johor Bahru" which will be the closest locations. 👍

The Food Truck is parked right at the Carpark Area infront of them. You can recognize them easily by the 4 Giant Japanese-Styled Wooden Tubs they have that contains the Tau Huay.

According to some Reviewers, the Whole Operation is a Family-Run Business. Staffs are Friendly and are clear in explaining the Procedures in Ordering. 👍
While Beancurd / Tau Huay is of course the Main Thing they sell with Various Toppings that you can add, they also do sell Soya Milk too as you can see in the Menu in the Photo Collection. 📷

I am Especially Delighted that other than having Gula Melaka or White Sugar Options, you can also opt for Zero Sugar. 👍 If you are also watching your Sugar Intake like me, you will have no issues here.

Best Timing to Reach Here to avoid a Long Queue

Officially they start at 6.00pm but I reached there at 5.30pm to stalk them because I've read that the Queue can be very long. Hahaha! Feel so wierd to be stalking a Tau Huay Food Truck! 🛻😅 When I didn't see any sign of them, I thought I'd just walk around look see look see. 🚶 By the time I returned at 5.39pm, the Food Truck had already reached, and already there are 5 people in the Queue infront of me! 😳

So, I would highly recommend to reach here by 5.30pm if you want to avoid a Super Long Queue. 🤔 And I'm not kidding about the Long Queue. The Photo you see of the queue was taken around 5.50pm even before they start selling. 📷 So you can imagine how long the queue will stretch if you were to come much later. 😳

How to go about Ordering:

1) When the Food Truck arrives, 🛻 there will be a Seperate Counter set up to take Orders from Customers. 📝

2) Meanwhile, Staffs will pass their Menu Booklets to everyone in the Queue so this is the opportunity for you to see what you want. 📜 (Or you can just look at the Photos of the Menu that I have in my Photo Collection) 📷

I LOVE the Adorable Message they have in their Menu: "我负责卖豆花, 💁 你负责貌美如花" 🌷(I'm responsible for selling Beancurds, and You're Responsible for being as Beautiful as a Flower.) Awww!! 😅

3) Once you've decided what you want, tell the Counter Lady your choices. You will then pay the required amount 💵 and be given a Receipt with a Queue Number. 🏷️

Take note, even though you may be the 1st in Queue, you may not be the 1st to collect because they will give those who have either Pre-Ordered in Advance or Ordered Online thru their Social Media first, 🤔 so don't be surprised if you see people collecting theirs before you even though you may be the 1st in the Queue. 🤔

4) While Queueing, Staff Member may also call out the timing where the Beancurd will start to be Ready for Collection. 📢 For my case, they say it will be ready only from 6.10pm. (I eventually collected mine at 6.18pm being the 5th in the Queue) 👍

5) All thats left to do is just wait around for your Queue Number to be called out and you can just collect it. 📢 There are no Dining In Options, this is only for Takeaways. But you can go sit on the Steps infront of the Neighbouring Shops to eat as I've seen some of the Local Folks do. 👍

How does the Actual Beancurd / Tau Huay Taste?

Original White Beancurd (No Sugar) = RM3.00

This came VERY HOT in a Plastic Container. 🔥 I'm not kidding, it was Scalding Hot when I received it. When eaten Hot like this, the Taste Texture is EXACTLY like HK Milk Pudding! 🇭🇰😋 SO SOFT!! Immediately I felt I was transported back to Hong Kong again! 🇭🇰♥️ No Kidding, the Texture is EXACTLY the Same Softness. 😋

This is the 1st Time i've eaten a Tau Huay that Completely Melts and Dissolves in your Mouth almost instantly. 😋 Ultra Soft cannot even begin to describe this. 😅 And because I ordered Zero Sugar, I can taste the Soya Bean very clearly. It has a Noticeable Beany Taste thats Not Overpowering. 🫘

Amusingly, Some Reviewers complain that there are no Soya Bean taste. 😅 Well Duh. If you add Sugar, and all sorts of Chapalang Toppings on top, of course they'll cover up the Natural Soya Bean Taste lah. 😅 Personally, I recommend to order Zero Sugar and Zero Toppings if you want to taste the Purest Form of Soya Bean Tau Huay possible. 👍

Pandan Beancurd (No Sugar) = RM3.50

The Pandan Version is Very Beautifully Coloured in a Uniform Light Green Colour. 🟩 It also came Very Hot. 🔥 Texture is Exactly the Same as Original White Version, but this time there is a Fragrant Aroma of Pandan. 🌱

The Pandan Taste is there, but its Subtle and not Vulgarly In Your Face Overpowering. 🌱👍 Imagine Normal Tau Huay but with a Subtle Pandan Undercurrent. 🌱😋 Because of how Light Coloured and Elegant the Pandan Taste is, I think they use Actual Pandan Leaves and not some kind of Pandan Extract. 🌱 To better appreciate the Pandan Taste, I highly do not recommend to add any Additional Toppings which may be cover up the Pandan Taste too much. 🌱🤔

Very Important Thing to Take Note:

Eat this as Fresh as you can, preferably IMMEDIATELY after you buy it especially when its Very Hot. 🔥😋 Because as it gets Colder, it will slowly lose its Ultra Soft Milk Pudding Texture and slowly becomes Firmer and Firmer until it becomes like a Regular Tau Huay Beancurd. 🤔

This was how I felt when I was eating them. To be fair, it is still soft when its Colder, but to me, it just becomes like a Regular Tau Huay you can buy anywhere. Not as special anymore. 😅
So don't Dapao when you buy this. 🙅‍♂️🛍️ Eat this on the spot if you can. The Soul of the Tau Huay here is how Soft and Similar in Texture they are to HK Milk Puddings when they're Fresh and Hot. 🇭🇰😋

------------------------------------
Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

Is it really worth the Trouble to queue for this? It depends. 🤔
If judging by Taste alone, the Tau Huays here actually taste not much different compared to our SG Tau Huays. 🤔 The one that is unique is the Pandan Version which I don't think I've seen done in Singapore. 🌱🤔

Really the Main Reason why you would want to visit this is because of the Ultra Soft HK Milk Pudding Texture of the Tau Huay when they're served Fresh Boiling Hot. 🔥 If you have eaten HK Milk Puddings, you will know the type of Smooth Texture Softness that I'm describing. 🇭🇰😋

No Tau Huays in Singapore are served as Hot as these and thus No Tau Huays in SG (at least from the ones I've tasted) have ever achieved the Exact Same Softness of how HK Milk Puddings are. 🤔

Again, I must emphasize if its possible, try to order them Hot, Zero Sugar and Zero Toppings so you can taste the Tau Huay at its Most Purest Form. 👍 At around RM3.50 (S$1.10) per Bowl, this is Absolutely Worth the Money to Try.

If you want to visit this place, you must come here early because the Queue is really no joke. 😳 Plan Well so you will not be caught in a Long Queue that I reckon can easily last 30 mins or even more. 😳

Actually from what I can see, they can actually Shorten the Queue by having someone go down the Queue Line and take Orders from each person 📝 and consolidate all orders together instead of just having 1 Person at the Ordering Counter taking orders 1 by 1. 📝🤔 And if the Customer ordering in front takes their Own Sweet Time in Ordering, you can see the impact as to how slow the Queue will be. 🤔

Of all the Food Trucks available in this Carpark, this is the one that Dominates all others with the Most Customers. 🛻😳 I can Definitely Recommended this at least for a 1 Time Try. 👍
