This is a Chicken Rice Stall also located in Restoran Kee Kim Huat which is the same Kopitiam that housed the Famous 飘香瓦煲鸡饭 that I reviewed previously. 🍲Because of how Popular 飘香瓦煲鸡饭 Completely Dominated this Kopitiam, this Small Chicken Rice Stall is completely Overshadowed and hardly anyone ate from it and Most People will probably not even bother to look twice. 🤔

I myself only ordered it because of the 30 Minutes Wait for my Food from 飘香砂锅饭, so I figured why not give them a chance and try. 👍

Its run by 2 Friendly Young Chaps who looked very noticeably happy when I approached them. 😅 I can imagine the Stress of having No Customers because of an Overly Popular Stall being your Neighbour. 🤔 I've never come across the term "菜园鸡" (Garden Chicken). 🐔 I asked if it means "Kampung Chicken". 🤔 They nicely and amusingly corrected me that 菜园鸡 is more like a Tender and Softer "Distant Relative" instead. 🐔😅 Hahaha!

The Red Chilli is Nice and Sourish with a Very Perky Spicy Bite that will linger on your Tongue. 🌶️ Very Good Quality Chicken Rice Chilli. 😋 Ginger Condiment is also done very well, minced very finely and actually taste quite good with a Slightly Saltish Tease. 🫚😋 Both are Very Good Quality and I could taste some effort being done for them. 👍
The Chicken Drummy itself is a Decent Size, and there is a Beautiful Smell of Sesame Oil. 🍗😋 The Meat is a Tad Cold, but Wet, Soft, Smooth and Juicy Tender with Occasional Bites into its Beautiful Globules of Fat beneath the Skin. 👍 This was a Very Decent Quality Chicken that slides smoothly down my Throat Easily like Butter! 🐔😋 This Drummy would not lose to some Famous Chicken Rice Franchises we have in Singapore or even in JB. 🍗👍

I also really like the Zhup they lum all over this Drummy. 🍯🍗 One taste of it, and you can tell this is Good Quality. It has the Right Balance of Saltiness and Sesame Oil that is also not Overly Strong. This helped elevate the Chicken Drummy into a New Level. 👍 As I did not order any Rice with my Drummy, I cannot confirm how good the Rice actually is, 🍚🤔 but I'd consider this Chicken Drummy as Very Decent Quality. 🍗😋

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts

At the Price of RM9.00 (S$2.60) for just the Chicken Drummy Ala-Carte without Rice, I feel this is Worth the Money to try. 👍 That said, at Face Value, if you compare the Price of 飘香瓦煲鸡饭 Claypot Rice which also cost RM9.00, you may feel that this Chicken Drummy is more Expensive. 💵🤔

Actually, 飘香瓦煲鸡饭 Claypot Rice may look like a Bigger Portion, it has Noticeably Lesser Meat compared to a Whole Drummy you're getting here. 🍖🤔 Personally, I feel BOTH are actually very good at what they do and the Best is actually to Order BOTH. 👍

Because 飘香瓦煲鸡饭 has Lesser Meat, you can maybe order this Chicken Drummy as an Extra Add-On Side Dish to enjoy with your Claypot Chicken Rice. 🍗🍲 This will bring the total to RM18.00 (S$5.20) which I feel is still a Very Reasonable Price overall. 👍

Don't ignore this Place just because it has been Completely Overshadowed by 飘香瓦煲鸡饭 in this Kopitiam. 🤔 If you are in the Mood for some Traditional Chicken Rice, I can definitely recommend this if you are around the area. 🐔👍 I just hope that they can someday find an Audience who appreciates them! 👍 Definitely a Hidden Gem worth Checking Out.
