Randomly saw this particular Roasted Eatery and thought I'd give it a try. 🤔 When I was there on a Friday Morning at 9.17am, other than me, there was only 1 other Customer who was 大包小包 buying alot of Roasted Meats for Dapao. 🛍️😳 The Place has a Very Old Kopitam Feel and is run by a Very Friendly 45 year old Chap with his Son. 😄

According to him, this Eatery has been around for about 20 years and he took over from his own Dad who first started it from somewhere else originally. 🤔 They are of course focused solely on Roasted Meats and there are no Menu in this place. I thought I'd order ALL their Roasted Meats Ala-Carte (No Rice) to give them a Try. 😋
There are 2 Condiments available:
Orange Condiment is a Slighly Sourish Calamansi Based Chilli that is Super Non-Spicy. 🌶️
Red Condiment is a Ketchup / Chilli Hybrid that is Only Mildly Spicy. 🌶️ I was very surprised they don't offer the Classic type of Haebee Based Spicy Sambal Chilli that you'd normally find for a Roasted Meats Stall. 🤔
Roast Platter, 1 Person Portion = RM15.00
When I ordered this, I had originally just wanted 🦆 Roast Duck, 🐷 Sio Bak and 🐷 Char Siew. I think he misheard me and gave me 🐔 Roasted Chicken in the Platter instead and I had to order Roast Duck separately. 😅
No issues, I thought I'd just review it all the same. When you order this though, do double check with him again on your order in case he gets it wrong. This Platter consists of 1 Roasted Chicken Drummy 🐔 and a Few Slices of Sio Bak 🐷 and Char Siew. 🐷
燒肉 Roasted Pork (Sio Bak)
THIS is the one that hits the Spot for me. ❤️ Wow! Sio Bak Skin is not the Usual Hard and Crunchy type but Texture is Amazingly more Flaky like a Biscuit! ❤️ I have made Sio Bak myself before and having a Hard and Crunchy Skin is the Norm for Sio Bak.
I have also certainly eaten many Sio Bak before myself and this is the 1st time i'm eating a Sio Bak with this level of Biscuity Flaky Skin! 😋 Really Nice! How was this Flaky Texture achieved?
The Sio Bak itself is Super Fatty (I think its like 80% Fat) 🐷 and is Really is Melt in Mouth Good with a Beautiful Fried Sio Bak Rich Porky Oil taste that swims in your mouth. 😋 Together with that Amazing Flaky Skin, this is an Absolutely Amazing Sio Bak that you must eat to believe. 👍
🐷 叉燒 Char Siew
This is Beautifully Caramelly Sweet but not Super Sweet. 😋 It also has an Innate Deep Smokey Flavour. Almost Melt in Mouth, and ALMOST You Kee's God-Tier Meat Candy Level but not quite as it still has a bit of Chew in the Texture. 😋 But this is undoubtedly still Restaurant Quality Char Siew.
🐔 燒雞 Roasted Chicken
Compared to the Sio Bak and Char Siew, I feel the Roasted Chicken pales slightly in comparison although it is still very well made don't get me wrong. 👍 It is Oily, Soft and Tender, not Overly Chickeny with a Slight Honey Taste with a Smokey Skin. Not bad, but as I mentioned, not Super Mind-Blowing as compared to the Sio Bak and Char Siew. 🐷
🦆 燒鴨 Roast Duck Drumstick = RM12.00
This is the Signature Dish in their Signboard, literally their 招牌菜 and it does not disappoint. 👍 As you can see in the Photo, while the Roast Duck itself didn't have those Ultra Smooth Beautiful type of the Roasted Skin when hung up, it was still Beautifully Glistening with Oil and Looks Amazing when served up. 😋
This is the type of Roast Duck that has a Nice Crispy Skin on Top and when you bite it, it follows up with a Layer of Decadent Thin Duck Fat providing a Beautiful Alternate Crispy Soft Crunch. 😋 Duck Meat is Tender and Not Gamey at All. Very Smooth and also Very Oily. Although not Restaurant Quality, I feel this Roasted Duck is of a Much Higher Level Quality than what you'd find in a Kopitiam. 👍

Conclusion and Closing Thoughts
Hands down, I feel the Real 招牌菜 of this place is their Insane Roasted Pork Sio Bak with its Super Melt in Mouth Fatty Smokey Goodness. 🐷😋 Among the Sio Bak i've eaten in JB, I feel this one may be the Best among them so far. Really a Must Try if you are here! ❤️
Price for the 1 Person Platter RM15.00 (S$4.30) I feel is worth to try for its Asking Price although the Roasted Duck Drummy at RM12.00 (S$3.50) is abit pushing it as I didn't order Rice to go with it. 🦆🤔 But overall, I can still recommend as they are still considered much more affordable compared to what you can find in Singapore tbh. 👍

What made me gave Top Score for this place was the Very Friendly Stall Owner who is only 1 year younger than me. 😄 As there were not much Customers during that time, we had a Very Good Time discussing about Culinary Matters and even Life in General. 😁 He was so Friendly, he even wanted to treat me to a Drink which I politely declined. Really Friendly Chap and it was a Real Pleasure to find such a Friendly Person to Chit-Chat with while I ate. 👍
If you are in the Taman Johor Jaya area, I can totally recommend this place if you are craving for some Chinese Roasted Meats. 👍 Don't forget to order their Sio Bak! 🐷😋
